Design Gallery, St. Moritz

The ST. MORITZ DESIGN GALLERY is open around the clock, 365 days a year. Along the pedestrian passage from Badrutt's Palace Hotel to the lake, 31 large illuminated showcases are installed. Here, changing exhibitions with valuable posters and photographs are realized, creating a veritable art gallery that presents themes to passers-by in poster form.

100 years of the automobile in Graubünden -
1925 - 2025

Cars were not allowed to drive in the canton of Graubünden until 1925. After nine referendums, the ban was finally lifted - Graubünden was the last canton in Switzerland to do so. As early as 1929, St. Moritz organized the first International Automobile Week. A period of change began: from then on, the automobile shaped mobility, everyday life and tourism. The pictures in this exhibition show this development from the 1920s to the early 1960s - an era between new beginnings and acceleration.
